The David Geffen Scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit. Financial need is not a criterion for eligibility. The merit-based scholarships provide full financial support for approximately 25% of current UCLA medical students and there is no need to submit an application. All applicants to the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA will be considered for the scholarships, eliminating the need to submit separate applications.
