The J. Wood Platt scholarship is available to young persons who have caddied for at least one season at one or more Member Clubs of the Golf Association of Philadelphia. Additionally, they must be high school graduates with academic qualifications and in search of aid for college expenses. The awards are for both undergraduate and graduate students. Students with no financial need (as determined by the filing of FAFSA and Award letter) will be considered Honorary Caddie-Scholars. Awards are re-evaluated each year and based primarily on financial need. It is mandatory that recipients continue to caddie while receiving grants from the scholarship.
