There are many types of scholarships and grants available to single mothers. Some are given through local support chapters, business programs, and schools, or through your employer. Still, others are more nationally based, such as the Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation Scholarship. This is awarded to single mothers with low incomes and minor children who plan to enroll in college, graduate school, or GED and skills training classes.
